Are you a lover of food or a good chef? Are you a lover of plants or a gardener? The gospel asks you, "Are you a lover of peace or its giver?" "Shalom" or "peace" is Jesus' gift to his disciples and to us. Along with the gift is the task. We are commissioned not simply to be peaceful or peaceable. We are called not only to be peacekeepers or peacelovers. We have to be peacemakers. |
