Being childish is not being childlike. The former is only synonymous with being infantile. The latter is praiseworthy. It is the attitude that pleases the Lord. In today's gospel, Jesus praises the Father for having revealed the mysteries of the kingdom to the childlike. We, too, can discover such mysteries if, armed with humility, we become lile little children with open hearts and minds. A child receives everything. May we learn to receive the Lord with an innocently pure disposition. |
