Jesus bridges the gap between nothing and being. In today's gospel, the apostles caught nothing but when Jesus ordered them to lower their nets, there was a miraculous catch. When we rely on purely human efforts, our work will be in vain. Without the presence of Christ, without his divine help, we are bound to fail. With him, we will spell a great success. |
