We were born for a noble purpose. The Blessed Virgin Mary was born to be the Mother of God. Yes, her birth is always connected with Jesus. It was the "dawn of salvation." In the fuller sense she is the "virgin to be with child" as prophesied by Isaiah and retold by Matthew. This celebration invites us to reflect. What is our purpose? Do we live according to our reason for existence which the French people call "raison d'etre?"
