Anthropomorphism helps us understand the nature of God. We attribute human qualities to God. If man is compassionate, God is and even more. Today's parable helps us shift from man to God. The man from whom a friend asked for bread rose from bed and offered help. Which reflects the far greater kindness and generosity of God. We can always say and believe, "If a man does it, surely God will." |
