An invitation is not meant to be snobbed or turned down. The king, in the parable, was not only offended by such refusal of the invited guests. He was enraged. His reaction was, of course, understandable. Who would not get frustrated by a blatant decline? God always invites us to a fellowship with him. Do we get the nerve to say No to his gracious invite? |
