People nowadays have become very much concerned about disinfection thanks to the pandemic protocols. Yes, we wash our hands with water and alcohol a number of times on a daily basis. Question is: Have we not neglected the internal cleansing of our hearts? Today's gospel is a reminder. We avoid the Pharisees' focus on ritual cleanliness devoid of cordial purification. It is good to wash our hands frequently. It is better if we wash our souls all the time. |
