The Greek word "hamartia" for sin means "missing the mark" which in Filipino is "sala." Yes, sin means "sala," that is, failure to hit the mark and therefore, to miss the point. Those were the sin of the Scribes and Pharisees. They pay attention to the little details of the law but they neglect the more important which is the love of God and neighbor. In this life of faith, may we discover the more important. May we not miss it.
