Where is the "joy" in the fifth joyful mystery? Not in the losing but in the finding of the child Jesus. Yes, there is immense joy in finding. God is pleased when he finds the sinner he is searching for. He is the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine sheep to look for the lost one. God is in constant search. We are also constantly lost because of infidelity. May he find us repentant. May we offer him joy. |
