Leprosy takes various forms other than physical deformity. Today's gospel presents physical leprosy which can also be associated with sinfulness. Far wider is the mirroring of leprosy in our world today. We can consider leprous those who persist in moral filth and squalor. We keep distance from lepers. Don't be surprised if people shun and stay away from us. |
