Patience gets rewarded. It was the widow's patience, in today's gospel, that made the dishonest and obstinate judge finally render justice. Which reminds us not get weary in our prayer. Even from the human perspective, a hardened heart is softened by a persevering appeal. When we pray to God with a heart that never surrenders, he will never be slow in his response but will speedily grant us what we ask of him. |
