26 November: What does it mean to "stand erect?" It implies confidence and sense of pride. Someone who bends down may be insecure, afraid and lowly. The appearance of the Judge evokes a feeling of security. The Son of Man standing in glory gives hope. Redemption is at hand. We, believers in God and confident in His love, take pride that we are His children. Amidst fearful apocalyptic signs, we remain strong and undaunted. -- Msgr. Andro |
