When is satisfaction said to have reached its peak? Only if it comes from God. In today's gospel, when the loaves were multiplied, people all ate and "were satisfied." Why? Because it was Jesus who fed them. Life constantly tells us that wealth does not always satisfy us. Power still leaves a lacuna in our lives. We are satisfied but not fully. Something is still lacking. The craving goes on. What will completely bring satisfaction? Only God. Always God. |
