The values of this world are diametrically opposed to the values of Jesus. Today's gospel illustrates that. Jesus affirms the greatness of John but all the more dignifies the least in the kingdom. In other words, the least are the great ones. Which should change our perspective. In scaling and valuing things, the standards of Jesus should be the canon, the measuring rod.
