Who is St. Joseph? The letters of his name reveal his traits. He was J-ust, O-bedient, S-ilent, E-ntrusting, P-rovident and H-umble. Today's gospel bears testimony to those good characters of Jesus' foster father. The last letter should have been representing his H-oliness. But that is precisely the essence of being holy -- justice, obedience, silent prayer, entrusting attitude, providence and humility. |
