Gifted to give. This ecclesial theme very much applies to the Visitation Narrative. During the Annunciation, Mary was gifted by God with the privilege of Divine Maternity. She carries Jesus in her womb. Now she gives Jesus to Elizabeth that even the baby in the latter's womb leapt for joy. We, too, are gifted with innumerable blessings. These we have to share with other people. We are blessed to be a blessing to others. |
