Some are persecuted. Others die as martyrs. As an infant, Jesus could have died if he were not brought to Egypt. In his infancy, his life was already threatened. Today's gospel speaks about persecution and death. Which St. Stephen faced and embraced. We may be persecuted or even martyrred but we fear not because Jesus is our own strength. |
