Among the many things for which I am grateful to Nanay was her gesture of bringing me to Church when I was young. And the rest is history. Mary and Joseph, in accordance with the Law, brought the child Jesus to the temple. Poor as they were, they had no lamb to offer but they offered the "Lamb of God." At the temple, Jesus met the believing Simeon and Anna. He heard about the "sword" of separation and discipleship. At the temple, one who is led by another will never be the same again. |
