I always remind the baptismal sponsors or godparents to see to it that their godchild grows in faith and in the knowledge of God. Today's gospel says Jesus grew in wisdom and God's favor was upon him. If children born in Baptism will grow and mature in Christian life, we will see a flourishing Church where the gospel is lived. God's kingdom will be at hand. |
