More than the dogmatic pronouncement of Mary's Divine Motherhood by the Council of Ephesus in 431, there is an invitation to imitate her virtue spoken of in today's gospel, i.e., her attitude of "keeping things and reflecting on them in her heart." This is what we need today. As we come to the threshold of 2021, let us keep all the past events in our hearts. Let us continuously reflect on them to discover the workings of God in our lives. A Grace-filled New Year! |
