8 January: What is the antidote to human pride and desire for fame? Jesus shows it. After performing miracles, he would withdraw from the crowds and go to "deserted placed to pray." All our accomplishments and achievements have God as their source. We cannot boast about them. We should not expect human recognition and adulation. The glory is due to God alone. |
