When Adam and Eve transgressed God's command, "heaven was closed." It was "reopened by Jesus." That is the meaning of the Greek word "schizo" translated as "torn apart." Upon Jesus' Baptism, the relationship between God and man ruptured by sin was restored as the heaven opened again. We are deeply grateful. When we were dampened by despair, Jesus gave us hope. When we reached the dead end, He opened a new way. |
