From being a persecutor of Christians to being an apostle to the Gentiles -- That's the greatest conversion in the life of St. Paul. Today's feast focuses on Jesus' mandate "Go and proclaim the gospel."' St. Paul went ahead of us. His conversion was itself a good news. He heard the voice of Jesus whom he persecuted in the persons of Christians. That same Jesus he loved and made known. We are "persecutors" ourselves. Let us embrace the life and mission of apostles. |
