A headless victim of heartless criminals. This encapsulates the moving drama of today's gospel. Both King Herod and his concubine Herodias had no hearts. They caused John the Baptist's beheading. If we do not have compassionate hearts, people who come along our way will lose their faces. They will lose their heads. |
