The presence of St. Anthony made the people of Padua (or Padova) in Italy gather. Even businessmen closed their stores to listen to this man they fondly called "Il Santo." Even more attractive was the presence of the Great Healer, Jesus. Today's gospel describes how people flocked together to have Jesus touch them. Truly holiness attracts people. We are drawn by that holy presence that brings joy and peace. |
