19 February: What we do, however pious it may be, diminishes its value if we complain that others do not do the same. That was exactly the attitude of the disciples of John who told Jesus, "Why do we fast much while your disciples do not?" As far as spirituality is concerned, comparing good deeds has no place. We are not holier because we pray while others do not. -- Msgr. Andro |
