A very familiar word -- Quarantine. It really means "forty" but is used today to refer to any period of seclusion. Jesus quarantined himself literally for forty days and was tested [in Greek "peirazo" which does not connote temptation] by Satan. We have been through this extended (almost a year) pandemic quarantine and a lot of things test not only our patience but also our faith. May the angels accompany us and keep us strong. |
