While love is defined in so many ways, it cannot exclude a wish or concern for the good of another. That is precisely the meaning of the Greek "agapao" referring to the kind of love we must have for our enemies. We wish them all the best. Instead of cursing someone who has wronged us, we pray for his well-being and happiness. With that we imitate the indiscriminate love of God. |
