Call it "transfiguration. Call it "transformation." Call it what you want but it is a "new form" (in Greek "metamorphousthai") which alludes to the new form (Greek "en etera morphe) of the Risen Lord. It, therefore, foreshadows resurrection to strengthen the apostles whose spirit was dampened by the impending death of Jesus. Lesson: Let our old form of despair be clothed by a new form of hope. |
