He who gets insulted retaliates. That was exactly how the people of Nazareth reacted when Jesus spoke of the widow in Zarephath and of Naaman. The prophets who helped them had to come from elsewhere and these stories prove that "no prophet is accepted in his own country." The townmates of Jesus drove him out of the town. Undaunted we should be. If we preach against evildoings, chances are we will be driven out, too. |
