The mathematical explanation of the sum of money mentioned in the parable of today's gospel matters little. What matters most is the message -- The extent to which God forgives man is truly inexhaustible. We will faint in embarrassment if we think of our transgressions. The more we remember the gravity of our iniquities, the more we become conscious of the immensity of God's love. |
