If we are discouraged by our sinfulness, let us remember that our sin has been nailed by Christ to the cross. We often focus on Jn. 3:16 and we tend to forget v. 17 that says God does not condemn the world but saves it. How? Through the cross upon which Christ is "lifted up." Yes, by his death, he nailed our sins to the tree of the cross. We are saved. What a great gift! |
