"Only two were left: misery and mercy." When all the accusers disappeared because they could not stand it, only the woman caught in adultery and Jesus were left. It was a meeting of sin and compassion. It was a blending of human weakness and Divine love. It's unfortunate that people are so judgmental. The sinner [instead of the sin] is condemned. Would that we were like Jesus: dives in misericordia. |
