The Yes that changed the world! Mary's joyful fiat [in Greek 'genoito' which is in the optative mood] changed the course of events. The disobedience of Eve was replaced by the obedience of Mary. The Redeemer was conceived. Salvation has dawned upon humanity tarnished by sin. This is the Good News. She who is full of grace becomes the channel of grace. Chaire! Let us rejoice in God's favor. |
