One who gets mad and is furious at the misdeed of another says, "Hudas ka!" We pity Judas for a very pejorative image that he had. But today's gospel makes us tone down our pre-conceived idea and a bit understand this poor hated apostle of Jesus. The Johannine Gospel says "Satan entered him" and "it was night." If the Devil has controlled Judas, how could he not betray his Lord? When are under the influence of Satan, we also lose control of ourselves. |
