"One of you will betray me." Who is that "one?" Potentially that is you and me. In Judas is reflected any person who can be put under the spell of Satan. We are Judases. At one point or another, we prefer thirty pieces of silver over our Lord. We betray him with our words and our works. We hypocritically kiss his image. And when we realize we have abandoned him, we hang ourselves in despair. May our meal of betrayal turn into a meal of reconciliation. |
