I dare coin the words "cordial vision." It means that the heart can see. In fact, it sees beyond what the eyes can perceive. Today's gospel speaks about the dynamics where the blind gained his sight -- from physical to spiritual. One thing that the present crisis brings about is the ability to see what we used to ignore before (family, hygiene and health, spirituality, etc). More than our eyes, we need our hearts so that we may not reject what our eyes vividly see. |
