Be still even if the waters of life rage and foam. Today's gospel demonstrates the power of God over the waters. It calls to mind the words of Job ("God treads upon the crests of the sea") and Isaiah ("God dried up the sea"). God is in control of nature. Jesus' walking on the sea displays that power. Let us trust in him. No amount of difficulties, no stormy seas can harm us. |
