What are our priorities? What are our concerns? Today's gospel invites us to analyze our values. Are we working solely for our bodies or do we consider also our souls? People, during the time of Jesus, were concerned only about the bread, forgetting that there are more essential things worth paying attention to and those are heavenly realities. We are working not only for the material bread that perishes but also for food that gives eternal life. |
