Death is expressed in varied words like "passed away" or "passed on" or "breathed his last" or "died" or simply in Filipino " wala na siya." Jesus, in today's gospel, says he doesn't want "to lose" anything that the Father has given him." In death, we are not lost. As long as we are remembered, we shall remain in the world. Such good memories will assure us of our continued presence which death cannot eradicate. |
