Jesus desires the salvation of men. Today's gospel is succint about that. "I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world." Jesus offered his life that we might be saved. But we have to do our part. "We are saved but not yet." It means we have to subjectively make use of the objective salvation. Christ did his part. We have to do the rest. |
