The Greeks speak of "arethe" to mean "drive for excellence." Such word finds a parallel in another Greek word from today's gospel which is "pleiona" meaning "higher quality." That is the exact meaning of "bearing more fruits." Jesus wishes to see us grow in higher quality. We are not content with the meager type. We want more. We do more. We achieve more. Strive for the best. |
