We can question anyone on earth but never Jesus. He is God and we do not have an iota of right to doubt his authority. That was the gravest fault of the chief priests, the scribes and the elders, in today's gospel. They questioned the Lord's authority. We should never get the nerve to do that. It is ridiculous. It is utterly blatant. It is unthinkable. |
