Centering prayer teaches us to use a Sacred Word to constantly bring us to the Divine Presence. One Sacred Word is "Lord" which is actually a post-resurrection utterance. Today's gospel affirms that David himself acknowledged the title "Lord." We are all creatures who recognize the Lord of nature. With sincere affection, with filial respect and with deep faith, we call upon the name of the Lord. |
