In giving, it is good to consider not only how much is given but also how much is left. The poor widow gave two lepta, everything that she had. Nothing was left for herself. Which was a sign of her utmost trust in Divine Providence. Are you a millionaire? Your five thousand pesos would be a small donation. Are you living a hand-to-mouth existence? Your offering of five pesos would be so great. |
