We are blessed in order to be a blessing to others. If we take a look at the Institution Narrative, before Jesus gave the bread, he first said the blessing. The bread is blessed, then shared. We can call the Eucharist a "Blessed Bread." It is a Blessed Sacrament. We who partake of this Bread are also blessed. We ought to be a blessing to those who come along our way. |
