Among other things, obedience was learned by the child Jesus from the example of Joseph and Mary. No wonder, Jesus grew up as an obedient Son, obeying the will of his Father. In today's gospel, he shows his obedience to the Law. He came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it. If we find it hard to obey the laws, we can draw inspiration from the Lord himself. |
