When we are angry, we are the ones being hurt. Anger should be avoided. Such anger can kill, not physically but many times verbally. Today's gospel is a warning against anger which is a form of murder. To be angry is human but our Christian mark should make us rise above our human tendencies. "If you are angry, let it be without sin. The sun must not go down on your wrath" (Eph. 4:26). |
