In seeing a child, we ask, "Kaninong anak 'yan?" The question is unnecessary if the child, from all angles, resembles the father. Today's gospel tells us how we can be judged children of our heavenly Father. That is, if we love our enemies and pray for our persecutors. Such love that embraces both the just and the unjust, the good and the bad reveals the face of the Father. It is our duty to show the same paternal face. |
