The shorter, the better. This is not only about speech. It is very much applicable to prayers. Jesus, in today's gospel, spoke about the pagans who think prayers will be answered because of many words. We are reminded to focus on the spirit of prayer and not on its length. Few words coming from a sincere heart are most pleasing to God. |
